1944 D Gold NGC ms66 fs

    Hey guys hope everyone's having a good weekend I don't know I just bought this nickel for like 40 bucks but I've never seen anything like it in my life so that's why I bought it it's crazy I've seen a million of these nickels but not this color anybody have any ideas or ever seen something like this literally it's gold

    The gold tint is from the odd mix in the war nickels. I have a couple from CRH, certainly not the gem you have.
    Maybe it’s the manganese

    Thank you for your reply it's wicked cool looking I mean it's it's like gold not like a tint literally through the whole coin it's crazy

    The 35 percent silver and storage makes for great looking nickels! ;)

    Wartime nickels were made of 56 percent copper, 35 percent silver, and 9 percent manganese.
