I can't find anything like this online can anyone help me out and let me know if it is a legit error or post mint? Any thoughts/comments appreciated.
You probably won't find anything if you are searching "dual mouthed" because it is not a term used by the numismatic community. The closest thing to it would be "doubled die" but your coin is not a doubled die. It looks like it is PMD.....post-mint damage. It probably took a hit in circulation. Chris
Your second photo showed it fairly well, I agree with Chris, PMD. Any movement of a die to produce that, would also show remnants of the rest of Lincoln's head offset also.
Where the lips in the back are they are elevated. Why would this be? There would have had to be a rather large lump there, then a hit from another coin to make the it resemble and mouth. I searched dbl dies, hot lips, strikethrough etc found nothing. Regardless I appreciate you guys taking the time to check it out and respond.
It has been in circulation for 22 years. It doesn't necessarily have to be a hit from another coin. There are countless ways this PMD was caused. Chris
I understand this. My only question would be why would that space be elevated in the first place? So before th PM there was just a give lump? It kinda looks an extra bottom lip. Either way no real value PMD or error correct? Just cool to have.
It is not an error! Are you familiar with the term "crater effect"? Basically, it is the same thing except that it didn't require a hit from a meteorite. Chris

If anything its a well placed die chip. A chip in the die that was used to strike the coin and that's what you got. Nothing special.
