    Hi Group,
Just came across this site offering a 'Morgan dollar Bell' ornament & upon checking out their other items for sale found current graded ASE's for $19.95! Wondering just why I might be a bit suspicious?
    Opinions kindly requested,
    J.T.

Odd… First I heard of them so I went and perused their website. Most of their offerings seem to be honestly priced. But the twenty dollar ASE’s smell of something fishy. The website is dated 2024 so they don’t appear to be an established outfit. I did find it odd that their address is New York but the phone number is a Florida number.

    International scammers in my opinion.

    Bad English, recycled photos, etc.

If you saw it on Facebook, NEVER buy from a Facebook advertisement.

spot silver is currently over $24 an ounce

selling an ASE well below spot is very fishy ...

their terms of service page isn't very well written.

Agreed. Here's my words of (somewhat) wisdom:

It's good to get ASEs below spot, but only in a trade. For example, I got a Silver Eagle from 1987 about 5 weeks ago (I've since sold it) from a friend of mine. He had the coin priced at $25, and it was actually authentic, along with his other from 1992. I did a trade and got the coin for roughly $21; I then turned around and sold it to one of the local coin shops for $1.50 over spot.

Even the best of friends can trick you with buying. I can see $20 if it was $13 or $14 an ounce, but not $24. I fell for the same trick about a year ago with the low-down, scum, absolute scam, and complete shame on the world of silver buying, Nestrashop. They're still doing it, knowing that they could very well be busted.

I just don't understand these scammers nowadays. Heck, even INB is more legit than these Silver Eagle scams!

    Hello Fretboard,
I'm not very 'Morgan Dollar literate' but thought the same thing when looking at the 'bell'.

    Evan,
It was an advert from the news.yahoo.com link, not FaceBook.

Scotch and coins mix, but wine don't. Seems like a hoaky site.

I ordered one and they tried to convince me it had been shipped out of Huntington Beach, Ca. (90 miles from my home) by one of those "hoaky" shipping partners. It had fallen off the face of the earth. After complaining o PAYPAL and demanding a refund, the bell again popped up with USPS all the way across country.

After receiving the bell I was angry and very disappointed to see that the quality of the bell was so bad that the original features were not discernable and bell had been high ly machine polished.

Then I discovered it. The "N" in "UNIN" was reversed! THESE ARE BAD COUNTERFIET RECASTS, NOT original coins as advertised! I couldn't even tell you if they were silver. I attempted to get a refund and was refused by PAYPAL because the item had been delivered.

AVOID THIS PRODUCT AND THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
