Can't see this any higher than MS-61. Too much "roller derby" contact for it to get a 62 or 63.

MS 62 ....obverse holds it back from a higher grade despite the nicer reverse

I had the same thought. It's interesting how we have two different posts with what seems like the same characteristics.

62-ish. Like it, though, nice acquisition.

Looks MS62 to me. The obverse is in rough shape.

I can accept that. There’s little damage to it, most of it is just toning and luster scars, though there’s a lot of it. In hand they discern that the best because they can tilt the coin in the light and get all of the different angles on it.

MS-61. It's got a lot of marks on the cheek. The reverses are almost always better on these and many coins.

I would wager that this was one of those pieces that didn't have "Uncirculated" on the holder when it was in its GSA home.

I'm going to guess 62, although I believe the reverse is more akin to a 64 or 65.

I don't see that one above 62. Must have been a Friday afternoon at PCGS.
