Weak strike or wear?

Started actually looking at what i've collected so far. At the same time trying to figure out grading. Two stand out as iffy.this one listed as gem it really looks good to the untrained eye, except there is a lot of missing detail in georges side burn. AND the T and Y merge into the rim. so the question is wear strike or weak, or something else?
looks like no other uncerc that i have, picture is ng but show nicely the flat non detailed side burns and is the same in the hair above. its surface looks to be kinda mint along some very minor marks. the coin is not toned it is shinney silver, some toning along the liberty is starting. a fast glance at you might think it a proof, just for a mili second.

The rough surface makes me think it's been cleaned. And it is definitely worn.

should have look at with my scope first, i would have seen the real surface and never asked the question. 8x just did not show any hairlines, rub marks pits dings and every thing else under the sun i guess. here is the reverse not quite as wiped as the obverse (trying) to use coin speak).
wing tips warn, belly rubbed down some.i guess i totally got burned on these should have looked past the shine on these two- other one looks exactly same

an typical mint state quarter in my collection, and it has luster.

 

This is an excellent example of a coin that it not Mint State. A purist would call it an AU-58 due to the slight rub on the high spots (gray color on breast and front edge of hair behind and above the eye). Depending on the "blast of the luster and lack of marks, commercially some would call it anything from MS-62 to MS-64.

 

i was worried the grey areas would indicate something in the pictures. (disclaimer i have not real knowledge in grading other than what i read on line in the last month or so.) those grey areas are different as per their reflection. the surface looks only a little different, not nearly as bad as the pictures may indicate. my only graded examples show the same amount of wear in these locations maybe more. my untrained eye sez i just cant tell.
having to buy online is not fun, i would rather the enjoyment in seeing and choosing vs a picture and a 5 day wait

 

Nice but not an MS coin and definitely cleaned. And it’s not a weak strike, it’s wear.

 

looked long and hard and i see what your saying although the actual area is tiny and looks big but there is some evidence of something what i cant say.
i'm not a purist yet so i'll keep this in the collection for now.

 

If it's MS it's not baggy enough for below MS64.

 

This one is a dullish MS-63. The 1932 quarters come with a weak motto (In God we trust) and sort of frosty luster.
