I’m hoping the OP knows that the word Trinary is merely a hype word typically used on eBay to describe a note with nothing else going for it. Serious collectors don’t look for or collect Trinary serial numbers.
Amanda, this hobby is all about finding and keeping what you like. If the serial numbers on that note attracts you, for one lousy dollar, I'd put it to one side and enjoy looking at it occasionally. If you try to make a profit for it, I'm afraid it will just disappoint you. Keep looking, because there are plenty of errors out there that can bring a nice profit. Good luck.
Yes sir I know, I kept it because I think the serial number is unique, and it's only a dollar so it isn't breaking my wallet to keep it. Good to hear from you Mr. Albert
That is a fairly interesting series number for sure. It’s only worth a dollar but I’d add that to my collection. We all keep what we like so I hope you added it to your collection.
Your note is very cool in my eyes! I save notes similar to what you have. I call them "Skip Notes" for obvious reasons. I save these for my own amusement and amazement. I have about 20, and they are all from circulation, so they have not cost me anything to speak of. And I know they will never be worth over face, and I know that I am losing money due to inflation. But it is my hobby, and I will do as I please. And I encourage you to collect what pleases you regardless of value. Here are a few of them.
That is a 1935 Series bill. Pre WWII. Hawaii wasn't a state of the Union until 1959. Yes, brown ink. Z Z
