That’s awesome! I have sent a beginners book although I’m still beginning lol. Of course I like my Lincolns so I have some albums on the way for Drew to fill etc. Have also sent National Park State quarter album. Just to let you all know so maybe different ideas others may have. I will send some cents as well. Hope Drew and his family enjoy together. Well two of the National Park Quarters, oops lol, but hey they are interesting and pretty.
It looks like he's getting started with US coins, I've got a few rolls of extra wheat cents I can ship out (if May isn't too late, I'm not home atm) but I'm hoping he really gets into it! Not a better hobby in the world if you ask me.
My nephew is autistic. He did start the State Quarters don't think he finished it. I have given him some coins over the years including a Silver Eagle.
I just got some older teens Abe’s. Like five really tuff ones. I wish I could remember. But I did save them. Let us know.
Yes. I think his parents will slowly introduce to him Doug stated. I don’t want to overwhelm him but when I stated that, that’s when he said his parents will slowly introduce to him. I had also stated, yes to get advice from his doc. It sounds like he has many there for him which is special.
Update! Thank you to those who have so generously contributed to "Project Drew" His large family has been busier than normal lately, plus Drew's birthday just *happened* to occur within the past few weeks (but after his parents received some of the packages). They asked if they could wait for his birthday and I said, "Hey! It's your parade! You do you!" So they did and... Drew a.b.s.o.l.u.t.e.l.y LOVED IT! I believe Drew's Dad may have shared some photos with some of you who provided email addresses. They started him off on U.S. cents and quarters with Whitman et al folders... And he ran with it! I am *so* excited. They are a very special family with several children. They get by on basically teachers' salaries and still have the time and resources to "bring their kids up right". Thank you all, both for the unsolicited and generous gifts and for all of the valuable advice and suggestions. I am working with the Dad to get a list of what has been received and what is still being held in reserve (so as not to overwhelm Drew). Special shout-outs to @dwhiz, @PamR, @Randy Abercrombie, @Noah Worke (shipping in the near future), and @desertgem for their selfless donations. On behalf of Drew's family, THANK YOU! ♥️
We are so happy to hear its going well. I must apologize as I didn't think of sending a couple of magnifiers. Some of the 99 cent stores have various forms of them or maybe they have special strength visual glasses already. By all means photos would be great as I somewhat feel they are distant family already !! Keep us in touch! Jim
