On the "E" in CENT, a sliver of material from the edge of the coin folded over the "E", it looks. Wonder if that has anything to do with why the coin is shaped like it is. The discoloration on the reverse, I figured at first glance, was perhaps because it was sitting heads up on some wet type of surface for a while, which caused it to change color at the contact point. Interesting, no doubt.
Should I let someone look at it. Can’t say I trust anyone around in some coin dealers sadly to say. Not that I’m looking for a value. Just curious as to it’s a real error. Which it seems it legit.
