I thought I saw that on your Pam's find thread. Thats a neat one and doesn't to me look like it happened post mint.
    I think it could be
    Reciprocally Deformed Convexo-Concavo Dies

    but I can't be positive.

Yes I post on my Pam’s finds and kind of get hesitant to post elsewhere lol! It is very well formed in that way. I will look that up. Thank you!!

Might it also possibly be from being held by the edge in a device while heat was applied to the reverse? Just thinking outside the box since Reciprocally Deformed Convexo-Concavo Dies seem to be extremely rare.

Maybe sitting on a hot plate while being waterboarded.
Drip water on top side only.
Someone test it and report back.

Survival, if it was just between you nd I, I think that I should take some better lessons.
    The Obverse shows zero damage.

The obverse is sunk in and the reverse is spooned. Not sure but it’s interesting.

There should be evidence, I am finding it hard to see that on the third side.

I will just add in that the reverse shows wear, from being cupped.

Sandwiched between 2 pieces of leather a ball bearing and a washer.
