Interesting change find

    Interesting. There are a few ways that could occur. maybe a harsh chemical affected those areas of the cupronickel clad?

    Usually an error such as missing part of clad occurs just on one side.

    That's what I thought but there's no disturbance.The luster is undisturbed and the area in question is much more shiny in person and perfectly matches with the whole coin.

    Just realized shiny isn't the best term but I was referring to the color contrast is completely different in person and a lot more lighter,my camera is crap for this situation.

    Here's a better picture of it and basically exactly what it looks like in person,quite strange how it's little all over the reverse, can't find my scale. 20240310_200659.jpg

    Looks like paint on the surface of the coin. Funny how it is inside the incuse letters and not between them.

    I really hope not:(:(im going to my LCS in a few day's to sell some stuff so they'll know.If this isn't anything then this is the best error imitation I've ever seen.

    If it was missing the clad, why in just the low areas on the surface of the coin?
