I love that city. I came close to buying the Taler version of it, but the coin had a planchet flaw and I couldn’t justify the purchase. Someday!! Thanks for sharing the beautiful dukat :)

    Thanks!

It was the only major City that was not pillaged/sacked during "Thirty Years War" Thus its like walking back in time.

Indeed, quite remarkable. Do you get to Europe often? If you are planning on getting to Europe in the next year or so, please reach out in a PM! Happy to host in Belgium.

Thats great. Funny think, last July I was cutting a clients yard/ it was really hot/ humid +34. The wife bring me out a ice cold Belgian amber ale (500ml. can) Well, I was thirsty, downed the can in two swigs. I then, started up my mower and then I felt it, the after effects...
I looked at my empty can/ 10.5% alcohol! No wonder I got a buzz/ was real smooth though. I usually bring Coronas to work, no buzz and refreshing;)

The original coin in the OP's first post had a split date. 17 16

The one I posted had a split date. 18 71

Maybe this one is better? I don't think I have any with Roman numeral encoded dates.

So a chronogram has the date hidden in the coin with Roman numerals that must be found (slightly larger letters) and add them all together.
