I think I acquired this coin from a fellow CT member that posted it with questions. I really like the aged damage and toning and think it is unique. I have a small collection of what i call Altered Abe's .
So far my discoveries appear to be routine machine doubling, discoloration from being buried, grease/debris strike-throughs and damage from rolling around in a clothes dryer. (Still trying to work out the physics on that last one.) Thanks again.
Yep. Just a part of the hobby. This is a hobby, correct, LOL. Even the ugly need a home and I see myself as just a foster parent of coins.
