Hey everyone! Hope all is well. Today being Friday, I thought I'd start a thread honoring the Eagle that's upon many coin denominations in U.S history. Please post yours too! Thanks all! This is a Worn 1917S Standing Liberty Quarter and a special coin, an 1858 Flying Eagle cent that I received in change many years ago at a convenience store.
Also, a nice overstrike from Daniel Carr, which allows me to enjoy the design even though I could not afford an original in this condition. I think that’s honoring the coin even if I can’t have the original ones.
just realized he changed the denomination from $40 in 22 to $50 in 23 Hmmm... I thought at 1st maybe he switched from a 90% silver planchette to a .999 type but no mine (both 22s) are also .999... I wonder why he changed it?
