New here! Just got this back recently as a DNC after trying to straight cross. PCGS recognized the rare overdate, but NGC did not, so I'm thinking of trying for another cross attempt but relaxing the minimum grade down a bit.

What do you think? I'll post the original grade a little bit later.

Unfortunately, I believe part of this was because you sent it to NGC first. If the coin was in the correct grade, it could definitely cross over, but PCGS and NGC are like two of the biggest rivals out there. One will always try and discourage the other's grading even if they recognize an overdate that the other doesn't. Not trying to discourage you at all, but those companies know what they're doing. ;)

Twinkly coin, good cartwheel which doesn't really seem to break at all on the bust... but also a decent amount of surface chatter and not the boldest strike. Would guess N62-63 that P saw more as a 61 or maybe a 58. Were it in a 58 holder, likely would have crossed.

I would agree. Many Gothic florins have this very light circulated appearance, GEF or 58 IMHO...
