Thank you. I had gotten away from coins and posting here for a bit. Now I finally got to 300 posts and picked up some new coins.
This is one of my favorite coins in high grade. Its really difficult to find them with a fully struck liberty. I love your coin but with the weakness im gonna go 65
Well, here it is. I think two of you got it correct. View attachment 538901 View attachment 538901 I really like this coin. I am glad so many of you had positive things to say. I have looked for several years for a strike like this. Any more and I could not afford it.
Man!! That might be a great contender for a possible upgrade!! With the price difference, I'd give it a couple of shots. Gorgeous Half Dollar..
I agree. This is the most thumb and full feathers I have seen on a 44S. I am happy with the 66+ grade.
Here is 1 of 3 images of MS-67 '44-S Walkers from the PCGS CoinFacts page. The other two are just as weak in strike. I'd say @WLH22's Half is superior in strike.
You're just not going to find a fully struck 44-s. The coinfacts obverse is definitely a 67 but I don't see how the reverse was with that hit.
There are a lot of PCGS coins, that I scratch my head on and ask how in H#LL did that get that grade? I swear sometimes it's who you are and not what the coin is. I've come across on several occasions on both GC and HA coins in high MS holders that should have been in 2 or more point lower holders.
Astonishing! Congrats on the grade and the bean. I'd have been thankful for a straight '66 but the 'plus' is perfection and pleasing.......tell the truth? I wanted to say '67 at the beginning, but my kninney, provincial, conservative grading prevented me from doing so.
