Been across the "Kank" on several occasions, took advantage of the lookouts for some spectacular photography. I think it's 112 that cuts across the top? Nice ride also. Yep, T-Bones is great. Have not tried Cactus Jack's yet though. I wanted to try out the Hobo Rail Ride in Lincoln but I think it's closed at the end of Oct. I'd also like to get up to see the operation of Littleton Coin Co., and see the Saint Gaudens estate. Did the Rt. 3 wrap around and found a small coin shop I stopped at but can't remember the name. And it's nice to get away from our leaf peepers here in the Berkshires. With four wheel drive it's more fun to do some back roads up there. I just LOVE N.H. Plus I always have my "Off The Beaten Track" book with me.
Enjoy your time there. I lived in NH for about 10 years and enjoyed every moment of it. I'll go up in October to visit some friends. Have you tried the Conway Railroad yet, they have a nice long ride, which I took about 2 years ago. By the way Cactus Jack is good too.
Thanks, I always enjoy N.H. I did the short run on the Conway Railroad, went as far as the Maple Syrup place where they let us visit for a bit. I do want to take the long run also. Somewhere out of Conway, I believe, I also found a small gauge railroad/post office combo. I took a short walk down the tracks and found an old dump which I spent the next two hours digging. Mostly only back to 1940's bottles, but if I had the time it looked quite extensive and maybe older. I need to get back there also. Drove my girlfriend nuts though and loaded three boxes of bottles in her ailing Ford Bronco which tended to drift sideways all the way home with everything I found and bought. Taking my Colorado this year so I can load her right up.
My August special (first one, not extended) is delayed at least a week from the expected ship date. That makes the turnaround time now double what it was the last time I submitted something to ANACS.
