$875 in BWR dollars. 1 - 1979P Wide Rim SBAD. I was pretty excited to find it. Will post a photo when I get home from work.

A bank is owned by a company, a credit union is owned by the members.
    That's the difference.

Ace, I've had luck quickly selling circulated Ikes for $1.10 each via Craigslist. You should consider trying this if you want to turn a modest profit and increase the amount of your CRHing cash.

  5. Went to my bank and got some nickels rolls. Found this 1960 Jefferson. Doubled front and back.

So I get off the plane in Philly and I want to hunt. I have an hour an a half and there were a few banks near the airport. Unfortunately I had to wait an hour to get my rental car and the banks close at 5pm here. After my banner weekend I'm am more hungry! Will have a chance to hunt a little tomorrow in a place called Allentown, PA.

Try BB&Ts and PNC branches, they usually don't ask if you are a member.

I'll look them up. I'm only going to have an hour right when the banks open. Then maybe some time in the afternoon.

Nice results, better than 1 in every 4 containing silver, all loose halves?

Three boxes of BWR Cents over the past week or so. Unfortunately one box was 100% 2016-P. Uncirculated rolls, but since they were from Loomis, every roll has circle cut damage on each end. Grrr.

So, this is really a 2 box report. One box was another Loomis and the other box was NF String wrapped, which I much prefer. They both had about the same number of wheatbacks; the Loomis box had 3 times as many foreign coins. For ease of reporting, I'll combine the coins.

One 2 Euro coin with Espana on the obverse. Haven't had many Euros recently.

28 Canadian Cents. Most were common recent dates. There were 2 that I won't spend on my next trip to Montreal. A 1946 George VI and this pretty 1964.

    20160921_015719.jpg 20160921_015802.jpg

On to the US Cents. There were 10 full mint luster 1960s coins that were too pretty to toss back. I won't list those, but I saved them. There were a couple of 2009's that got saved too.

35 wheatbacks plus another I got in my change today at a bookstore.

    1910, 1912 (hole filler!!!), 1936, (2) 1937, 1940, (2) 1942, (3) 1944, (2) 1945, 1946-D, (2) 1947, 1948, 1949-D, 1950 (ender w/ circle damage), 1950-D, 1952, 1952-D (roadrash coin), (2) 1953-D, 1955-D, 1955-S (unbelievable condition!!! - see picture), 1956, (4) 1956-D, (3) 1957-D (one a roadrash coin), (2) 1958.

Plus a few non-proof S mints: 1968-S (with some luster), (2) 1970-S (with different S's), (4) 1974-S. On the 1970-S coins, one has what I'll call an open S and the other has a closed S, similar to the S marks on the 1974-S coins.

The treasures for me are the 1912 and the 1955-S. Been looking for that 1912 for a long, long time.

Very very nice finds on the 1912 (I'd call it a VG-10) and that Mint State 1955-S!

    Yes thanks! :)

Both of those were really exciting to see for the first time!! The 1910 was about a G-4. Very worn, but excellent to find 2 coins over 100 years old in one box!

I love War nickels. It never gets old pulling one of those out of a roll :)
