Pam, I used to enjoy gardening, but it was urban gardening. My primary residence on the east coast of Florida backs up to a sanctuary protected area, and the space is very limited. I used to grow squash, bell peppers, cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes, and okra. I simply got too tired of fighting the pestilence population of bugs from the wooded area. I even tried harsh pesticides, but every year the battle got harder. I finally gave up gardening period. I'd always had a green thumb, even in my youth, I had a penchant for growing "special herbs". Nice, spicy buds.
Yes the pests can be difficult for sure. Not sure you would have another area but my brother in law bought this pretty wood holder I guess you want call it for herbs. Next time I’m there I will take a pic. It’s high level for easy prep etc. I don’t think you could do massive veggies but the herbs it would be perfect for. Yes the buds are coming. I have to spray at times. I use either seven spray or bayer spray. They both work about the same. I’ll post that pic once I see it again. Also once my blooms come again!
