    What's 3 D's on the coin? Wouldn't that be 3D? LOL. Now I'm confused.
Seriously, I think his last 2 Pics might be a winner. Check it out again.

@SensibleSal66 i agree there may be something there. He posted he was seeing 3 Ds. If that’s the case it can’t be 003. There were at least two listings on VV that had D/D/D. Better pics would let us confirm what we’re looking at here. I don’t want to go any further than I see hopeful signs based on those pics.

**003 is only D/D… I need clear pics for this one.

Could be that one. Pobably is, the photos aren't very clear. For a major variety you need an FS number and that one doesn't have one.
Looking at your title it says high grade, and I can see damage above WE and other spots on the rim. Plus a huge scratch between the US in trust all the way down in front of Lincoln. Add in the big gouge above the date and you have a details coin at best.

    Hi Willy - 1956d1mm003 Die Variety Information - coppercoins.com

Pictures are improving, but still hard to see. Fortunately, this particular variety is more readily identifiable. So, we were able to help.

Keep practicing with the camera...you can get there!! Congrats on the find!!

Likely, when found on various " coins varieties sites" that it was the 3rd different
variation found and so it was given the "-003" at the end. For some it is like the "first date" as a high school student.....every one is different and hard to place on the "Love" scale. After several years of dating, the standards start to change. :)

Willy, ever think an error is a defect? If you ever did, why are you so obsessed with collecting defective coins when there are still a lot of good coins out there you can collect?

The thrill of the hunt obsessive compulsive behaviors collect good coins that's just too easy way too easy if a good coin comes across my plate like that Jefferson nickel 1962 Philadelphia full steps absolutely mint condition now that's a good coin that will be graded this week I truly believe that nickel will be a top population nickel and if I could figure out what full steps are with the gouges in them then I would have 10 of those nickels in different dates

Want to run that by with punctuation? Or look, forget about it, I’m just asking you. I mean when there are good ones why collect bad ones, you know? What’s so thrilling about that? They’re not worth nothing to nobody. And I don’t know if you noticed it but looking for these can drive you balmy. And we seen it around these parts. It’s called “VVD,” “Variety Vista Disorder,” and it’s pathological, a mental disorder.

There are many 3-4 and nearly 5 step coins out theren I have a few of them. I will say that a 67 grade is not easy. All of us here have thought and possibly posted one we had high hopes for. When was the last time you went and looked at some 67 slabbed coins?
