Thanks, Erin but I cannot take credit for them. I purchased them from some great folks at the Educational Coin Company. Their website features a lot of different boxed ancient collections. The ones in the photo are Biblical related but they offer lots of other period sets. Greek, Roman, the Crusades and so on. Their website says wholesale only but if you ask them nice, they'll sell you single sets. All of coins are authenticated and certified by Robin Danziger who is a respected authority and member of the American Numismatic Association.
Happy Birthday, my friend!! Another year gone by, and another day. lol Kind of seems like that to me lately. I don't have any coins to post right now because I am flat broke and busted for finances for coins. Oh well. lol Nice little coin you got.
@Bing is so old he got this coin as a gift on his 10th birthday and used it to buy a wax tablet and stylus (the iPad of 400 BCE). Happy birthday Bing!
Happy Birthday Bing, I take my cap of to you. Claudius 50-54 AD, Libertas, standing holding pileus (cap) in right hand. RIC 1 113 (11.65gm) hope you have had a great day.
Thanks, Deacon Ray. I checked out the website and really like the displays for the Biblical coins. My wish list is growing. Erin
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BING! Cool new coin...you have some awesome willpower to wait till today to open it. I don't really have a coin, so here's the most awesome birthday gif i could find!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. It's been a day (neither good or bad), but it makes me feel good to hear from all of you. Thanks again.
Thanks TIF but I can't take the credit! I purchased them from the Educational Coin Company! They're great folks to deal with. Even though their site says wholesale only they were willing to sell me single sets after I told them what I was going to be using them for. The coins are all authenticated by Robin Danziger of the American Numismatic Association.
