1909 VDB DD or MD

    It looks like machine doubling to me.

    The doubling on a true DDO is to the right of the letters and date not above them like on your coin

    I think it's MD, but either way, it's really cool and I'd keep it.

    Die #002 has letters to right also.

    Yes - DDO hubs always seem to be to the right? Am I wrong with this as I have not seen any examples of any denominational US coins that prove me wrong - except for minuscule "so called" DDO's that you have to see a small line in the letters under a scope!!
    Of course the 55 DDO is obvious, the 69 DDO is pretty much unfindable, and the 72 Memorial cent is obvious too - die hub rotation to the right!!

    Maybe because the die-men were mainly right handed ? :)
