It looks like the S is there. Better pics would help.

 

I agree, For those new to Error collecting, this is what they are talking about.
Notice the "S" on the Eagle's breast.

Not to get way off thread but a buddy of
mine in high school dad was a mechanic
for Richard Petty who use to race this variety, he was tragically killed in a auto accident, as a nice gesture Richard Petty
gave him one of these cars was equipped
with a 440- six pack and had one heck of a top end !
