Have you ever bought a coin from the VCoins shop Oxus Numismatics? They have some interesting looking coins for sale, but since I can't find a single review about them, I am not sure about whether I should buy anything from them or not...

I think that I will heed your advice, at least until someone trustworthy confirms that they are a legitimate coin shop selling real coins.

Since you believe that the coin is genuine, I have gone ahead and bought it.

Its a good buy. The EF grade was bang on. It would probably grade MS-62 TPG. Price was fair. A great auction site for Islamic/ Indian coinage is Steve Album/ K&M Numismatic Auctions/ Spink Auctions.

I actually applied about 21 or so hours ago for bidding approval for their next auction, hopefully they will approve it and I will manage to find a nice gold coin.

I have looked at what K&M Numismatic had on offer in their previous auctions, and I have to say that I am now really looking forward to their next one, usually when I am browsing websites for Indian gold coins, only the Mughal and maybe the Delhi ones are on offer, but K&M Numismatic has in addition to them in its auctions offered and sold professionally graded gold coins in good condition from the Sultanate of Gujarat, the Bahmani Sultanate, the Malwa Sultanate, etc. :jawdrop:

I hope that they will have these two coins for sale again at their next auction:

I have to admit/ it pays to check unsold lists. So far I have bought 200 coins this way.
Last one ws in Dec. Teutonburger Auction. A almost FDC aureus from Gallienus (unique) Calico listed as unique/ private collection. This coins opening bid was 7200 euros. It did not sell?????? Anyway it took me 2 secs to hit the buy button. This coin is rarer then ID MAR aureus/ 3 known! Way rarer then 1933 USA Double Eagle 17+ known/ 23M

They will have another auction in 4 days, but I don't see anything interesting on offer.

Baldwin's will have two coin auctions in March, an "Ancient, British and World Coins" one on March the 7th and a "Islamic Coin" one on March the 19th, I have registered for both.

Yes, but I just wish that auctions featuring quality gold coins were held more often, there are many gold coins I would like to buy, but none of them are on eBay, VCoins, MA-Shops, etc. in satisfactory condition, if at all!

With me its the opposite/ I can find so many I like in perfect quality/ just never have the $$$$ to buy/ win them. Sixbid/ Biddr/ Numis 24 have many good auctions.

That is because your areas of interest are way wider than mine, for example you would if you could buy every German gold coin ever made, while I have hardly any interest in them, in regards to Indian gold coins, my interest is in the Mughal Mohurs of the greatest Mughal emperors, plus the gold tankas of the Sultanate of Gujarat and the Bahmani Sultanate, while you would probably buy most (if not all) Indian gold coins if you had enough money, etc., even if I won the Eurojackpot lottery jackpot, I would still find it very difficult to get to even 1/10 of the number of gold coins you own.

You are right on/ I am an oddity on this forum/ I have no goal/ focus/ just collect what I can afford/ also that strikes my fancy. Like You I strive to get high quality material. Its painfull/ seems the most impressive coins I cannot ever afford:( Like those beautifull "Zodiac" AV Mohurs of Jahangir.
I love the Assamese "Octangular Mohurs/ Fractions" a lot.
    Endless nice stuff out there.
Talking about winning lottery/ I have ZERO luck/ never won anything in my life:(
