1983 d penny

    Found in change, There seems to be an object on coin , maybe a struck through retained? I could not find a like coin, a cud,? The rim seems off center, maybe the D is deep? It would seems that there cold be mint errors?
    What say you? How the pictures come out? I tried to get diff, views on coin.

    Normal Die Deterioration doubling on the Date. That's worthless doubling.

    The rest is damage.

    And for you information. A Cud is a Die Break which affects the edge and flows into the field of the coin. When the piece of the die breaks off and then strikes the blank planchet the metal from the planchet flows into the break and appears raised on the coin..
