@PamR Trivia question - would you know why the Southeast Asian country of the Philippines used the terminology of CENTAVOS and PESO as a description of the denomination during those years? Hint.. Centavo is Spanish for Cent and Peso is Spanish for Dollar.

The US Battleship "Maine" was blown up in Havanna Harbour/ US blamed Spain. William Randolph Hearst printed that false story to ramp up war hysteria. It is now known that Spain was not responsible.
