My son got this in his change. I really don't know anything about Paper, so if you all can help out here.
The paper feels waxy really odd. Plus, you can read nearly all the details of the opposite side.

Looks like it has been soak in oil or similar liquid. PMD. Try putting it in acetone for a day or so.

 

Kind of what I thought, that it was some kind of liquid that made it look this way.

 

Put it in a pocket and run it through the wash

 

PPD (Post production damage). Looks like notes been oiled to me.

 

Wonder how or why??
Maybe they were on someone in an oil wrestling match?

I don't know about putting it acetone, as it could eat the note. I really don't think that there is anything special to the notes and wouldn't do anything to them, except spend them.

 

It just goes back to the kid. He brings me stuff that he finds and asks about it.
