Hey everyone! This is my *New thread, "The Indian Head Cent Sunday". Say that ten times fast! lol.gif
Anyways, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread concerning these little coin gems. I know very little about this series as far as errors and varieties, so do share your experience. I have several of them, mostly dug but some not.
Here are a few Pics of mine. Please share and comment if you wish. biggrin.gif
    This is a 1870/ 1882 that I dug. The 1909 was a gift. The culls were accumulated. IHC2.jpg 1909IHCObv-side.jpg

This one was in an old ACG holder graded at PF-64. PCGS cracked it out and gave it PF-66. CAC gave it a green bean.

This is a fun coin you won't see very often. PCGS called it AU-53 DDO FS-101 S-1, off center clashed reverse. It went to CAC but no answer yet.

Why 3 different 1964? I believe the story goes that people were hording copper/nickel cents so the mint decided to produce bronze cents after a few months of producing the copper/nickel. Then later that year the engraver added his initial L for James B. Longacre. Here is on I have that is counterfeit, you can tell by the extra rim on the obverse from 6 to 10. No L, Bronze, which is a very minor type.

I bought and sold this 1877 when I was a dealer. I bought it raw from a collector and had it graded.

The 1908-S was the first cent that was struck at a branch mint. It makes the coin special to me.
