    I think @Mat already posted this discovery right before you did so the awed responses from all of us, especially the 'ancients crowd,' may be less than you might expect.:)

    Hard to say what a similar example would go for because we can only see one side of it. Also if this example were to go onto the market with a known findspot like this it would likely increase its value past what a similar example without such information would go for, but exactly by how much is very difficult to estimate.

    Just looking at coins of the same or similar types(Nero aureus with wreath reverse) I found these examples on ACsearch hammering anywhere from $819-$10,347
