A maximum of 150,000 sets will be sold, according to the U.S. Mint, and there will be a 1-set limit per household. The set includes: One 2016 Reverse Proof Regan Presidential $1 Coin with a ‘S’ mint mark. One 2016 Proof 30th Anniversary American Silver Eagle with a ‘W’ mint mark. One Ronald and Nancy Reagan 1 ½ inch Bronze Congressional Medal. One authentic engraved Ronald Reagan Presidential portrait produced by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. One booklet including images from Reagan’s life and presidency. What do you think if this set?
Hmmm interesting that it includes the 2016 30th anniversary eagle. If they included a regular version 30th anniversary edge lettered W mint eagle that would have been much better imo or a P/S proof anything but the exact same offering 30th eagle that's sold separately would have made this set pretty good as a stand alone even with that high mintage. Although I guess for $15 bucks over what the eagle is selling for by itself this set isn't horrible. I might as well pick up a set as I was planning on buying a couple eagles anyway.
I'll probably get one just because I have the others and love the fact that I won't have to fight for it.
Unlike jwitten, who apparently isn't interested UNLESS you have to fight for it. That's where his money is - when you can't get one yourself and have to go to a dealer HE supplied with inventory. I'll buy one, and EXACTLY one. Because I have ONE household, and that's the limit. I'm not about unfairly gaming the system for my private benefit, or is that the "American Way"?
Oh I'm sure we'll hear about entrepreneurship and business profit, but most business people I know have suppliers that aren't public entities.
Would have really loved to have seen something unique about the ASE in the set but not surprised. If any of them were going to sell out with that mintage it would be this one but they may have killed another product with unrealistic expectations like they did the JFK one
My grandpa with Reagan and some other buddies. They were friends. I got to meet him when I was a kid once. They used to go horseback riding and camping before and after his presidency. Not during though. Safe to say I'll be getting 1 or 2...
Nope, edge-lettered proof ASE and apparently a BRONZE medal. I'm grooving on the B of E&P engraving. And the reverse proof dollar is neat, too, except they all kind of look like "presidents in blackface".
Well then you are apparently not aware of the "Divine Right of Markup" which has often been written of throughout history.
Ronnie is the only fellow I ever voted "For" President, the rest of the time I was just voting "Against" the other fellow.
Coins with fairly recent past Presidents on them. Hmm, what could possibly go wrong regarding CT rules here?
