Paid $45.00 for this from a coin dealer while on vacation in Hampton N.H.

Oldest coin in my collection but someone carved their initials on the reverse. image.jpeg image.jpeg

Well under $50. Nice little die crack 9 o'clock on the reverse.

Here's my latest pick up on eBay. Was listed as a Buy It Now at $22.00 on sale for $18.70 or Best Offer and free shipping, I submitted an offer of $13.00 and they accepted!! I was pretty happy when it arrived. :)

I have some interest in Mexican coins. Bought these to take a closer look.

Nice Woodie!! I love those interesting Lincoln's. So much better than just a run of the mill Red.. If I want a red Lincoln I'll go to the bank. :)

This little coin may not appeal to everybody, but it is an JR-2, Rarity 5+ die variety of the 1821 dime, and it only cost me approx. $10.

1821 JR-2 is within the top 5 scarcest Capped Bust Dime varieties. It is worth a little more, and for a CBD collector, priceless.

That is a 64 to me, but PCGS (and the other TPG's) do not like woodies.

1842-O Seated Quarter. with normal size date. I paid approx. $ 46.
It is a very scarce variety of the type, with eagle with open claws on right foot. Not a well known variety, but quite scarce.

Agreed on both counts. Everybody has their "things" in numismatics - errors, varieties, toners, blast-white - and this one pushes all of my buttons. :)

FWIW, in hand it looks more red and less "woody".
