i just bought 3-'66 and 3-'67 special mint sets off of a seller on eBay for a very good price (imo). I just received them and opened the package up to find one of them with a price sticker on it from Severna Park Coins for $110.90. Is there something specific that would make this set worth that much? What should I be looking for if anything? Also, has anyone heard of this coin shop? Thanks!
Severna Park Md. Is right down the road from me if that's the one. It's sort of upscale area neighborhood . I lived here for 40 years and can't recall a coin shop in the Park as we called it.
Are you in Maryland ? I've lived in Anne Arundel county since 1973 and know the are very well there was never a coin shop in Severna Park. Now not saying that someone didn't have a one line store. But as far as a store front nope .
I live in Elkton. Any good coin shops between you and I that you would recommend checking out? I work in Lancaster Pa and the only coin shop I've ever been to is there. Steinmetz.
That looks like a code word price (LEFL) and the date he got it. A lot of dealers use a 10 digit word with no repeating letters to signal what they paid for an item and the number looks like when they bought it 1/10/90
Well yes there is a few nice shops, there's the Gettysburg show this coming Friday and Saturday . There's a shop in Laural, a couple in Annapolis , one in Ellicott city, one in Parkville , Glen Burnie , to name a few.
Us coin talkers in md and states that are close by should all get together for beer, crabs, coins, steaks and anything else good to eat that you all can think of. Lol. instead of bar-hopping we can go coin shop hopping.
I am on my 3rd 12 ounce rum and coke. I rarely drink, I am a lightweight, and the ebay deals on my watch list are looking good. HA! An instead of crabs and steak, it's rum and top ramen and coins.
Lay off the Ramen.....too much salt. Even younger fellows must monitor their intake of the dreaded stuff............
