Hello everyone, So, my stepson with his new hobby of searching for Fancy and Cool serial numbers went and ordered $2000.00 in $2.00 Bills. He was expecting to receive circulated bills but instead received brand new notes They start with Serial Numbers 60227001 and ends with 60228000 There's really nothing special to be found
I heard those spend really well at the girlie joints.... I heard that... No, really... That's what I heard....
just don't spend them at Walmart .. might end up in jail until someone gets a clue ... I can go to my Credit Union and get them strapped. I do have to ask for uncirculated though. They told me years ago the only demand is usually around Christmas Holidays when people buy them to give them out as a novelty. Thus they have a huge hoard of them sitting in the safe.
Surprisingly, this post has been up for almost 15 hrs & no newby has suggested: "Wow, one thousand consecutive serial numbers, that should be worth something extra!"
Back when they had $2 blackjack in Laughlin Nevada, A guy I knew would get $1000 in $2 bills from his bank make a trip to play Blackjack. He would sit at the table with a stack of $2 bills and play ( money plays) back when you could play with cash and not have to buy chips before placing your bet. When he won he would gather up the chips and let the cash play on. He played every other month, everyone knew who he was.
I have a very bad memory. When I was about 10 years old my mom and I were shopping on 14 street in Manhattan NYC. We were coming out of an old department store named Mays which is no longer in existence. We were getting ready to head home and the bus stop was in front of the store. We witnessed a man who was trying to cross the street get hit by a bus. It went over him and the back right tire ended on top of him when it came to a stop. He died instantly. It was very traumatic.
"Wow, one thousand consecutive serial numbers, that should be worth maybe something extra", like maybe an additional thousand consecutive serial numbers of one dollar bills, for a two thousand total "GRAND trade"! JMHO
Back in the day, we had a Mays in Levittown (1950's). When I was about 8 or 9, my friend & I went on a shopping trip to Mays & I bought 2 shirts; it was the first time we went shopping without parents! It was the place to go back then.
