Is this real? Nickel misprint?

    Feels like the metal of an actual nickel but, obviously lighter. Not sure if it could be a prototype model for the mint or if someone made a counterfeit. Honestly I have no clue.
    Please help,
    Clueless.

    Like @tommyc03 said, it is from a magician's coin. Actually it is only half of one. As you can see from the glue inside, the reverse got lost.

    It is also interesting to note that some magician's coins that pre-dated World War II were actually used to carry coded messages. Obviously, this coin was not one of them.

    And sadly enough, I have read stories of drug addicts using these for cocaine and heroin.

    I have a Lincoln cent like that, found it somewhere don't recall. A dime fits in it real snug like.

    Coins are stamped/minted not printed.. paper currency is printed ;)
