Feel free to be sorry. It's in a straight holder and looks like fingerprint oils caused this, based on the pics. Completely natural, IMO!

The way they're going right now, I wouldn't receive those records for 6 months.

I hope it looks better in hand because I'm not impressed.

I can count on 1 finger the number of nicely toned, uncirculated large cents available on ebay right now. And it's a dark bluish MS66 that I can't afford at the moment. So I'm SO happy to have found a toner like this for almost zero premium! But... that's what's great about coins! We all like different things!

The toning doesn't thrill me, but the grade does! Nice find. You're happy with it, so why should you give a flying fiddle what I think.:woot:

I'm just happy to own one with some character.

I'm not thrilled with the look of in the sellers images either, but I suspect that it will look much better in hand. At $240, you can't lose anyway.

If you plan on flipping the coin for a quick profit then it's OK, I guess...
Me, I wouldn't stick THIS coin in my box of 10 on account of the big finger prints in the obverse prime focal areas...
Where's @Insider ?? There is a premium for HIS opinion

Frisco mint auctioned this coin a couple weeks ago and I missed seeing it, so someone already flipped it to me for probably a $60 profit after fees. It went dirt cheap at auction... $153.50! That's less than an AU58 (in most cases).

Thank you! I posted a "like" to @Treashunt for AT opinion. The price sounds cheap. I guess not.

A "doctor" could probably crack it - "fix it" - and get a 63-64 grade. I don't see any major problems on the surface.
