Ok, so at the show I got $3.25 90% (all quarters, I love them and I know I'll never find them CRH). This was at 14.5xFace. I paid $47.00 for that (13 silver quarters). It got scary because I was at the show with $500.00 in my wallet from the dump I just did this morning. I was able to leave without buying anything more and I went and got a box of halves. And........Nothing. It's ok, I am not deterred. I am going to hack and slash my way through these crappy boxes until some good stuff comes around. So from last Saturday to this Saturday I got 5 40%ers. None this month though. Of those 5 40%ers 1 came out of a box. The others I hustled from teller trays. Can't wait til my trip to Texas.

When I look through rolls for silver I set the box to the side with the rolls on the table and after I rip the edge of the paper to see the edge of it's contents I will stick it back in the box for later further inspection. If I find a coin with a silver reeding I will set it aside without looking at the coin until after I have further inspected the coins sitting in the box.

Now on to the point. I saw this coin that looked odd when I opened the roll, (It's on the left) 20160903_175905.jpg
.So I pull the edge of the paper over to see this. 20160903_175939.jpg So it looks like 90% and my story in the above post will explain why I have not looked at it last. At least at the end I know I have a silver to look at and that's why I do it.

That's not a bad price. My local coin shop was buying silver coins from a guy when I was in there the other day and he was quoted 12.5 times face for 90% coins. So you paid just $2 over the current silver bulk buy price.

Only $500??? ;) Wait til you are walking with $3k. I didn't think much of it until i realized that would be a month and a half of mortage payments lol. Glad you ended up with something though. I can't find any real decent stuff here in Korea. Looooots of fakes :(

Just pulled this AU 1946 D Rosie out of a CWR. Dipped it in some MS70 and it has full luster and looks blazing!

Here's what my prize was in that half dollar roll from last night. It's my first 1964 half. It's from Phillie and it looks like a proof! I'm not sure but it has a nice shiny glossy look to it. This is my third 90% half in a week and 2nd circulation strike coin. I've had amazing luck recently and I hope I can keep it up! Experts please help me figure out if it is indeed a proof.

I don't know if it's just polished. Here are some more images. It's really glossy and mirror like. 1473034523041.jpg 20160904_181655.jpg 1473034725445.jpg

It doesn't have a proof edge.

Two boxes, 8x 40%, 1x 90%. And a proof and a colorized Mars rover launch.

    afm1982 Miami has the Dolphins...

I do the same thing. I try to spend as many halfs as I can. That way more will get circulated around, and not just cycle through banks.
