  1. Actually...he is correct about the silver and surprised no one else mentioned. Maybe its the path to look down. He is open for another conclusion at least

The majority opinion is that the coin was subjected to some form of environmental damage, and it is just a guess as to which specific form of environmental damage that is.

Unless you have had the opportunity to examine billions upon billions of clad coins, the fact that you have never seen a coin damaged like this is meaningless.

What the heck does a doubled die and extra numbers have to do with this coin?

I was trying to be polite. And you, sir, can save your advice for someone who might take you seriously.

If the snowbird remark was intended to belittle me, you missed the mark. Heck, I even gave you a like, just to show you what politeness means.

Okay! Let's both admit that we're two old farts set in our ways and start all over.

    Scroll down.

But, snowbirds are still a pain in the butt! Up in Maine, how often does some driver stop in the middle of rush hour traffic and get out of the car to take a photo of a pelican crossing the road? :woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot:

Here in Maine we have "summer people" and "people from away" and probably just as many stories about them and the odd things they do as you Floridians have of snowbirds. We do not, however, have pelicans.

Edit: I wrote to quickly as there are two species of pelican in Maine, but I prefer those of Florida, especially when they are close to highways.o_O

Fishing from a bridge or pier can be hazardous for pelicans. If they fly into your line, they can be snagged by the hook. I've had to "walk" a snagged bird down to the embankment on a couple of occasions. Of course, they don't realize that you are trying to help them, so they are snapping away with their bill. It really isn't that dangerous for the person, but you have to grab them by the bill to gain the upper hand. Usually, the worst that can happen to a person is that the bird will crap all over you.

Come on gentlemen.. Let's give her a chance to show she has something. We tried to explain the best we could but since none of us are experts :( it's better for us to just let it go.

Okay, let's just say, arguendo, that this piece is a copper quarter, which it's not, but let's just say. The gouges alone prevent it from being slabbed. This trend pops up every so often. Some long dormant accounts suddenly become active again showing the garbage "errors" like this again and again. I am growing weary of it.

  21. Not posting what the error is until "this garbage coin" is professionally verified by experts that consider all and any possibility ...and...if I decide to continue on this forum that gang up on and try to insult if disagreed with ...my coin guy looked at the quarter and then these posts and was shocked .. Now someone will say...we are all trying to help you ...

@bellman. Don't know who girdly is.. did she disagree with someone here?
