I have a 1976 penny that has "copper overflow" on the face side. Is this worth anything? Also have a penny that is blank on both sides, and 1 that is missing the one side.
That's a DARN NICE large Cud (die break) ! The Cent planchet (unstuck) is very common, and worth about a buck or two max. The cud is nice, and would have a retail value of $75-$100, imo. Nice find.
Awesome if that 1976 penny turns out to have a real genuine cud. Pix isn't the greatest so I can't see for sure.
Welcome Bob, hopefully to help new members, I usually post the following. Hope it helps you in the future. You should always post in focus FULL IMAGE photos (after you upload your photo, two buttons appear: Thumbnail and Full Image, click Full Image and your photo appears full size on your post and is easily enlarged by clicking on it). Photograph coins on neutral backgrounds like black, grey, or white. Crop out superfluous background so just the coin shows, and post photos with correct orientation so members don't have to turn their computer in some awkward fashion to view it properly. While it isn’t always necessary, it is nice to show both the obverse and reverse, even if your question is just about one side. Members can often give more valuable information having both sides to evaluate. Add close ups of areas you have questions about and make your questions as definitive as possible so we know what you are asking for. And try to have the best lighting possible to show the most favorable photo of the coin. Hope this helps in the future. Good luck.
You could have corrected the misspelling by clicking on "Edit" at the bottom of your post. Just so you know!
I would like to upload new pictures of this coin........ but can't figure out how to do it. Also would like to know the current value. Is a Cu-1c-1976-02
Hello. They like for you to start a new thread whenever you have a question. Others on here can probably tell you better than I can about pictures.
He's the OP and has new pix of the very same coin evidently. I'd say it's good without setting up a new thread.
I seen them offered as high as $16,000 on eBay. I seen a potato chip shaped like a camel offered at $25,000 on eBay.
