So, if 7 out of 8 of these are getting 70s, what sort of price premium do we think will settle out for these "perfect" specimens?

So you have 80 coins which is 76 coins over the legal limit so you get 76 years bad carma for your penance. You begin serving your time immediately!

Lol, anybody can fake a submission form. BTW, aren't they ALL "First Strike"?

Curious. How long do you think it took the Mint to strike the inventory?

Lol not to mention PCGS takes longer with medals and tokens anyway

Probably did them all in one day.

PCGS First Strike label can be applied to any coins submitted to them within 30 days of release, I believe. As a consumer, paying for that label on any coin is not worth it. The grade is the grade. I'll get a coin with the same grade without the designation for a little less money. And, in the case of this medal (and the Gold Merc) that sold out in 15 minutes, definitely not worth it. That being said, collectors pay for what they like, and some like the label designation.

I called ModernCoinMart yesterday, which is in my hometown.... offered to sell 2 of mine to them. They said they had all they needed. I'm not sure what that means exactly. Do they know something I don't know?

Probably means the dealer got all his employees on line and got as many as he could at issue price.

While we are on the topic can someone who posts on the NGC forums go correct their thread where everyone seems to believe it was a 100k mintage with a household limit of 1 instead of 12.5k each with a limit of 2 each
