Obviously I was way off. That said, it's the ugliest mint state coin I think I've ever seen.
You had a good eye and bought it right so you deserve to profit from it. Good job.

It's a joke I believe. His hasn't been graded yet, and is certainly not mint state.

Well I'm just screwed up all over the place however, you never know. This one is now graded MS62 in NGC plastic.

The posted grade is a joke. I just mailed it to NGC today.

Agreed. I don't know how anyone ever used these things. That said it is a shame they are so small, the design is beautiful and a series I would be much more into if i didn't fell like I was going to lose or break everyone of them before even being able to get them graded

    Silver Trimes are fun. :)

They're so small that consistent strikes were actually very difficult. You commonly see them with entire segments of the star outline missing and/or peripheral details gone. Here's how I grade them:

First, I leave the coin obverse-up. :) Well, after first confirming the reverse isn't sanded off....

There's too little detail on the reverse of these things to be relevant to grading circulated examples. It's one of those issues where, having determined there's no real major "discrepancy" on the "bad" face, you fall back onto the knowledge that coins wear roughly equally on both faces and worry only about the obverse.

With the shield and star outlines both not worn through, the worst I can do for the coin is EF. Then, I think a moment about this PCGS MS65:

After that, I stick with EF and don't worry about what's missing. :)

    See? Simple. :D

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Well, I guess I was a little high (guessed EF). 30 seems reasonable, however.

    Congrats.
