This is another of my 'Indian' purchases. Apart from the description of "MUHAMMED NOOR - HORSE AND BULL" I have no further information. If someone can provide me with something to work with, I would be grateful. Thank-you. (Sellers pictures)
There is a thread from a few days ago dealing with these "bull and horseman" jitals. You'll find some helpful links within the thread. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/india-second-nezak-hun-dynasty-ar-unit-kabul-mint.282695/
I'd call it a Samanta Deva, probably Tye 14. There have been so many ID's of these that I do not understand it makes me wonder what I have missed. If you Google MUHAMMED NOOR you get modern people but no kings of old. I simply do not knw where these ID's come from.
As THCoins and I mentioned earlier, you need to download Robert Tye's Jitals, which the author kindly released the catalog pages of the book for free. You can also purchase the full book from the author as well, even though, it is out-of-print... http://www.academia.edu/356700/Jitals Indian numismatics is too complicated without any literary resources, so I suggest you start doing some reading, otherwise you will be shooting darts in the dark... As luck would have it, I purchased this bad boy the other day. Tye 4.3 or something like that, according to @dougsmit . I have to re-do the attribution entirely, because seller had no idea what he had, and I had no idea what I was buying either (due to this being completely virgin territory for me)
And for the impatient ones, here is the catalog entry for Tye 14 via the link above: A semi-full list of the various types are also on Zeno.ru under: http://www.zeno.ru/showgallery.php?cat=2129
