Is the entire coin fake, or did they just try to metal build the date and mint mark? If the whole thing is fake, does it pass the size/weight/ping test?
It is a struck counterfeit, its very close in size and weight and rings just like a real one. Which indicates to me that its probably close to 90% silver.
The fakes one don't even come come to looking "real". Man...people will do anything to make or "steal" a buck.
I'm not a Morgan expert, but what jumped out at me from the original photos was the CC. That looked really bad in the 2nd photo. Informative and educational posts/ thread like this one make this site great.
