The junk bin is what I live on. Nice CC save.

I want to get a nice gold coin one day and get all the money for it via cherrypicking junk bins.

VAM 20 JB? I didn't take regular pics so this would be my first time trying to VAM from an animated gif lol. If it is v20 I think QDB said 20 is of interest even though there are no list VAMs for 82s in his mini red book if I remember right being that it has such a severe mm tilt but its been a while since I read it.

I like to start a multi-day show off slow. The junk gets me warmed up :)

Really sweet pickups!! I hope to bring some decent money to a large show one day. That '82-S is outstanding!! A really high end Morgan is on my to buy list some time.

@Cascade, I remember you showing me the 82-S at the show. Still looks stunning. Great photos by @messydesk.

Not VAM 20. Also not sure why QDB said VAM 20 was of any particular interest, especially since he's not interested in VAMs at all. Yeah, it has a strong tilt on the mint mark, but not particularly interesting. Maybe he was looking for one VAM to say something about. I did pick one up at ANA in 66 already attributed by ANACS, but because the price was right, not because of the VAM number. Yours might be VAM 1B. I'll have to take a closer look. Obverse strike doubling will make it an extra challenge.

Must have been cold on the day she was minted...

Also you weren't kidding that 82-S is fantastic even via a photo :wideyed:

I wonder if that technique might be of help in public depictions of reflective surfaces? And - not to be picky - is it possible to slow down the progression, or is that limited by the quantity of frames used? It's already 3MB, so tacking on double the frames would just get people mad at you. :)

The animation can be slowed down, but I'd have to make a new GIF with longer transition times between frames. The number of frames wouldn't have to increase, so the file size would be the same. I could double the frames and move the light more slowly, but then, as you say, the file size would become less friendly. Preferences for replay speed vary widely between people. Some like fast, some slow.

Ah. I didn't know if your software was basing smoothness just on the number of frames involved or if some interpolation was happening. Count me as one of the "slow" ones. :)

Yes, it's 2AM. My days off vary as wildly as my hours, and I'm a nightcrawler when I'm off. :)

I think the "slick" is a Peace dollar, and you posted the reverse as the obverse... pretty sure the bottom shows legs.

The only legs ya need to know. Pour some into a glass. Swirl it a bit and see what happens.........
