What's going on with the rim/edge on the obverse near the top left of the head?

Also, what would it grade? I pulled it out of a roll my dad bought in 77. It has UNC 65-78 p,d,s.

To me, it looks more like an off-center strike rather than a misaligned die. If it was misaligned, you would not see the abnormality on both sides. Either way, it's very minor, but you never know when a bidiot might pay too much for it.

And what is going on with the date? Or is that just the lighting on the pic making it look distorted?

It looks like there is some evidence of die deterioration on both sides.

Middle grade MS clad Roosevelt dimes are very common. That bring said I'd keep it because it's a nice one do the others look that nice? Get a folder and fill some holes with the best.

Can't be an off-center, one it is still in the collar, and two all of the details are still on the coin. It is a MAD but both dies are misaligned and not quite in the same direction. The obv die looks to be misligned toward 5:00 and the rev toward 11:00. If they were in the same direction the rev should be toward 1:00
