In New York visiting cousins. Stopped by some banks for halves, pleasantly surprised when they said they had big dollars ($20), although nothing unusual within.

    Two boxes halves: one 40% (1967); four proofs (1986, 1987, 1988, and 1989-S); and one gold coated 1971 with additional stamping 1960 & 1980.

Very nice on the 38-D and the elusive 50-D. That 50-D is one of the most circulated ones I've ever seen... most didn't stay in circulation long.

I have to be honest with you. I don't have access to the coin right now and probably won't for another week.

$25 BWR Cents - 14 wheats, 518 coppers, 5 Canadian, a 1963 counter stamp "Grant Takes Richmond", and a very crispy IHC (1901, I think)

    $100 CWR Nickels - 19 pre-1960, plus one 1942-P war nickel

    $50 CWR Dimes - Skunk

Last Friday I found a 1953d dime and a quarter from 2005 that looks platinum plated. Also yesterday a teller at my bank saved me a 1943p war nickel.

Nice, I'm still looking for my first wat nickel, I've found silver dimes, qtrs, halves, even a dollar. For some reason the war nickel mocks me :rage:
