Here's a new pick up sellers images, not a date I need but the clashes made it a must have coin. 1866 Nickel III .
Can you see the 8 on the reverse in the wreath ? As well as the wreath on the obverse . I would grade it as a nice high vf to xf.

Well in that case you might as well send them to me, as we wouldn't want them to have sibling rivalry . They be very happy here state side with their family :)

Look, those boys have already travelled a couple of times over the pond, first when I bought them, then when they were re-submitted... let them recover from their jet lag :)

1856 are scarce in circulated grades rare in MS grades through 65 very rare in 66. Only 48 proofs have been certified out of 70-80 est.minted.

Here's what I'm saying about this nickel III have a look at the date. Notice the ribbons in the date. Compare to the overlay. 180 Degree rotation clash. downloadfile-12.jpeg 40529161.jpg

I love die clash errors. Especially on 3CN they are some of the best. That one is very nice I've never seen the date as part of the clash. It had to have been slightly rotated I believe to get in between the ribbon like that. Was it listed as a clash or did you cherry pick it? Either way I love it.

Here’s my 3 Cent gal, someday I’d like to upgrade to an AU or a lower MS example. For now, she’ll do. 7FA96724-AE50-48A0-8B6B-F3194D660AAB.jpeg BDB2B806-F2FA-4F32-9EA1-CB503497EF2E.jpeg

The 1869 three cent pieces in the trade dollar thread is fake.
Most probably German silver I believe I have a list of known fakes let me see if I can lay my hand on it and post some information.
John is 100% correct on the date not being correct!
    1869 mintage business strikes 4500 proof 600
Which none of the known specimens none the date of 1869 look anything like the op coin
    .
Most fakes were minted in 1861.
