I feel for anyone who has bought anything from him in the past. I'd be suspect of everything they sell.

What are you seeing here? I'm not a Morgan collector so I'm not proficient at detecting fakes.

I see splitting in the "O" on dollar. I see what looks like a pinhole from a bad casting under the tail feathers.

I'm far from an expert. Heck, they could turn out to be real and I could end up looking like an idiot. In my opinion, they just don't look right and when someone is selling so many rare type coins that aren't graded it makes the lil hairs on my neck stand up.

There is absolutely no point in buying that date in anything but NGC/PCGS slabs. These sellers count on a buyer's ego -- "I can detect counterfeits" -- or silliness -- "Slabbed coins are just a money making scheme" -- to screw their buyers.

They did edit the listing posting a new picture. I still don't think it's bad just not uncirculated or it is a weak strike above ear. Also has a lot of lines in the field maybe cleaned. Still wouldn't buy it unless it was slabbed because I don't know enough.

Seller has 100% positive feedback though isn't strictly coin sales

I talked to the guy. He swears he missed something in the photos so he took new photos and thanked me for catching the error.

    It's the same coin shown.

No, it is not. Why you would assume such a thing simply because I disagree with your assessment I do not know.

I was going to say 1899 was the original,, but now I really am not sure what to make of it.

Here is a screen shot of his original obverse photo; it's more helpful than the replacement.

The seller told me it was a piece of lint of something along those lines. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. His feedback is 100% so that has to mean something.
