Pulled some change out of a Coin Star on Monday. Among the ratty U.S. lincoln zinc cents were two foreign. Due to my lack of knowledge in Linguistics I can't decipher the origins of them ( maybe Hindi or Arabic ??). The larger one is the size of an U.S. quarter and magnetic, the smaller one seems to be copper or bronze. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Coin #1 Coin #2
Morocco - 1 Dirham https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces24329.html & I think the other is this one: (Iraq - 1 Fils) https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces6581.html
That Iraqi one is a strange one to find in a coin store. You don't even see old Iraqi coins much in dealers' junk bins.
Hmm...since they are both Middle Eastern (with the Moroccan being 2019) maybe a younger person dumped at the Coin Star and had an older relative's 1938 Hashemite Kingdom (Iraq) coin thrown in.
