That is too bad. It looks like it otherwise has not seen much wear. I found a penny a few weeks ago on the road that was a 1947 but looked about like yours. I was contemplating a few days ago how I think in this pattern fairly often:
"Even if it was beat up, I wish I could find a wheat cent." -> "A wheat cent! Too bad it is beat up. If only it was only worn." -> "A wheat cent! Too bad it is worn so much." -> "An AU wheat cent! Too bad it is 1958 D and not 1914 D." And on and on.... I started thinking, can I ever just stop to be thankful?!

Did you check to see if it's a double die? It looks like it died twice.

You could undercut them and offer yours at a reduced cost of only $500..... I think yours might even be rarer.
