Skip the coin microscope, they cause more issues than anything. You'll start to see thing that don't matter or aren't even there. They're really only good for verifying certain varieties such as overdates, etc. You can get good pictures with your phone, you just need to use proper lighting. I promise you lighting makes a huge difference and you'll have to play around with it as each situation is different.
Try to read what I wrote I went to the bank I got $100 worth of Susan B Anthony coins they were in really really old rappers this whoever turned them in they would never circulated they must have took them out of somewhere or something or worked at the mint I have no idea but these coins are spectacular and right now I just found a 1999 D that doesn't have a mark on it and it's toned so put that in your pipe and smoke it
I would be extremely surprised if that coin graded at anything above a 64. It has far too many dings and scratches. I have circled a few of the larger ones in red. Just because a coin is super shiny does not mean that it is automatically Top Pop.
It was a euphamism I am happy for you. Glad you are doing well. The point is that there are tons of coins out there that are beautiful, just not a top pop.
I've never seen someone so butthurt over what someone else does as to follow them around a forum and terrorize them. Get a life dude
You can smoke what ever you want. There is plenty of luster breaks in the coin you showed. As Eli pointed out above. My comment was that you posted the wrong coin. It is something you have said many times on here. How is it that you find an incredible coin and mix it up with the rest. I hope you do have a marvelous coin. The odds are that you don't. Is it possible that someone pulled the best coins from a bag. Yes. Is it possible that you might have found an MS67 yes. It is estimated that there are thousands of them. MS 68 is nearly unheard of. My point is that being lofty, without having a history of sending in coins that grade top pop or near top pop. You don't even know what the TPG's look for in a top pop coin. Photos aren't a good way to do this.
Yea, I do that...I don't know why. Anything else? If not, maybe you can encourage ELI to post the images of the coins he proudly doctored and intentionally deceived the coin community and then sent the coins to NGC and claims the coins were supposedly graded by NGC. I called Baloney, but ELI stated he would post the images when he returned home. Wouldn't you prefer to have ELI share his success with the community? Oh, now I remember why I do that stuff....I do not have any respect for Coin Doctors. Now, anything else?
No because I'm not trying to hijack someone else's posts, but maybe you should consider the coins have not been posted because you are being ignored. Don't feed the trolls as they say.
Work on that lighting setup buddy, then post some decent pics. I hope you found a good one, pretty rare to pull one like that out of a roll but if you have one we'd love to see it.
Sigh, I "terrorized" a coin doctor and upset Sponge Bob. So, can you let him know that I still call Baloney until ELI posts the NGC certified coins, with the serial numbers, that he proudly doctored and deceived NGC?
im going nuts I wasn't treating them all good I had them in cups dropping them on the floor like I didn't realize that there was that valuable and they're not they're not circulated you should see the reading on them it's like perfect around the edges
My point is that this is not a discussion for this thread, which you brought up. Bad form. And it'll take alot more to upset me than that. Also I know it's a very realistic avatar but that's not an actual picture of me
To keep the who's on first score card straight...my commentary was not and is not referring to you in any manner or intent. It is referring to posted statements by member coins4Eli. BTW, there is nothing wrong with submitting to ICG. At all.
