1993 penny, scratch or error?

    Found this today, at first glance I thought it was a scratch but now I'm not sure. Looks to me that this runs around the top of the first 9 and under the bottom of the second 9. What do you think. Thanks in advance IMG_20160809_132928.jpg IMG_20160809_133620.jpg IMG_20160809_133359.jpg

    This can only be two things:

    Scratch or struck thru error. Your photo is too blurry to be sure so you are going to make the call. If the inside of the line is deep, sharp, and the edges are pushed up and sharp you have a scratched coin.

    Now the part of the line looks lie it goes "thru" the tip of the "9" without damaging it so you may have a struck thru.

    Need better photo made using florescent light.

    Agree with this though a third possibility would be a linear plating bubble that has begun to split between Abes nose and the 9. Again , to blurry to be sure
